gauge hookup
i know this is kinda a newbie question but i want to do it right..
i have a mechanical oil pressure gauge and an air/fuel gauge(yes i know the air/fuel are not accurate....) but i would like to know where you guys hooked up positive wires on the gauges? .. i was thinking that a good place was behind the cars gauge panel but i dont know any help would be great thanks!

just hook the power from one gauge to the other then to the 12V source. basically a series connection.
as for illumination, i used the cig lighter illumination since i don't really care if its lit up or not...

just grab a voltmetere and test wires to see what has 12V when the ignition is on and 0V when the ignition is off. if you mount gauges on the left side, the wires going into the underdash fuse panel are your friend.
