I don't have any other tracks to compare Beaver to. <shrug>

However, I felt that in novice/beginner class, there were a lot of traffic. Cars got cluttered up very easily and was hard to pass.

Overall I thought the track itself was great - short and fast. Very fun and more technical than I had expected after seeing pics/vids beforehand. It definitely had some "oh ****" sections that took patience (as well as big *****) to get comfortable with. But the pit-out setup was ludicrously stupid IMHO, and the flaggers were mediocre at best.

The facility was... new. Some landscaping, planting, fencing, and more permanent buildings would make it even better. (Not a big deal at all, especially considering how VIR has spoiled many of us in this regard...)

All in all I had a blast driving there, and I would definitely visit again. :-)

Jon

The track taught me that I was in dire need of more aggresive brake pads ...

I always thought I was a slow runner and from my last event, stock pads were fine. Boy, was I wrong and I'm glad I had a chance to learn that on a track that was "student" friendly (lotsa run off space).

It was a fun course, IMHO. But I still a beginner.

Fun little track! I agree about the following:

o Flaggers were mediocre at best. Get behind the damn wall and STAY there! Don't call me out for passing w/o a signal because you didn't LOOK at the car in front of me. Grr.
o Pit out sucks. More than once I slide through 1 only to find a car entering the track.
o The elevation changes were a blast. I especially like the blind downhill and the kink.
o Tires against the armco would have been nice. My arm is still slightly bruised...

Track is safe, pretty wide area for run-off.

It's a somwhat a short track....but I'm surprise there's no traffic in my run group

I will try this track again when they complete the south couse

really need some improvement on the pit-put as well as basic facilities like: bathroom, classroom......etc

I liked the flaggers - they provided minimal interference.

Pit-out didn't scare me, since they had a spotter.

Very fast, I liked it a lot. easy on the brake pads except in two places of course. The blind downhill corner and the kink were awesome.

Track was Nice, I didn't get to Drive it much myself except a few spirited laps but I did go out for a session with Bdiddy

I did want to say that the Guy at the track (Forgot his name but it was the older gentleman who drove the White S10 in front of me for the few laps) deserved
In between following him and the spirited laps the Spoon ITR was running pretty low on Gas and he gave me 5 gallons of 100 Octane Unleaded, Asked him how much I owed him and he said "Don't worry about it just go out and have a fun time, we're just happy to have you here" Easily $20-40 worth of Race Gas, BeaveRun is all thumbsup in my book

Mike, his name was Danny.

o The pit out as said was a bit scary.
o Run off was good
o Elevation changes were fun
o Buildings are temporary and suited our purposes (Hope to see them develope into a nice place)
o Workers were ok . . .
o Track was fast and the blind downhill onto the back was a blast and so were the WOT turns on the back straight.
o The people who run BeaveRun were totally awesome. More than accommodating!! They will get a fruit basket (Or at least a Thank you card) soon.

Only one negative comment no bleechers to spectate.

On a positive note, it's the fastest I've ever taken my ITR on a road course. Front and back straights plus elevation changes. I like.

Right where pit out was, to the left if you are coming out of the pit, there was like a 20 foot section of track that just ended. Thats where the rest of the track will connect to i think.
