'91 Accord LX Wagon White -- what can I do to this fine machine?
I recently aquired a 1991 Accord LX Wagon. Now it is time to modify it. I don't know where to start and I've been looking at engines and I am interested in VTEC. Does anyone know if there is a way I can make this car faster? It is a 2.2L SOHC--beyond that, I don't know. Can it be turbo-ed? Can I put a VTEC head on it? Are either of these options even worth it? help?

Cool!!! Wish I could help you with the motor questions, but I am unsure. You could probably do an H-22 prelude vtec swap though.

Do you know where I can find one? Any idea how much one costs? Is that engine DOHC? I am a clueless newbie, sorry.

Check the motor supplier linkswww.hasport.com. Maybe some others I don't know of, also try the classifieds section on this site.
The people on the hybrid forum could maybe help you locate one. They could also tell you if it would work, and what you would need.

of you could go just for looks, seen one bagged and custom body kit laying the body on the ground, looked so sweet, nice 18's, but i think the h22a prelude vtec would work, also im sure a gsr or type-r would fit also

I am lookin to swap my 97 accord motor out as well for a H22a DOHC VTEC. It comes brand new from the factory for about $2500 I think. Might want to get a 2nd opinion. But then again, you have to get ECU, axles, tranny and other sh*t as well

Okay, so what is an ECU and why must they all be swapped out?
I am lookin to swap my 97 accord motor out as well for a H22a DOHC VTEC. It comes brand new from the factory for about $2500 I think. Might want to get a 2nd opinion. But then again, you have to get ECU, axles, tranny and other sh*t as well

ECu is your cars computer that controls your systems... and your motor. You have to swap it for what motor you have.
