Is this going to be a project car or a beater?

One thing off the top of my head is I'd check to see if the timing belt was changed for the second time, the biggest thing is to try and find out what kind of mainenence was done to the car, see if they have the service records. Usually people who drive their car that much keep it in decent condition. I think that is a lot of miles, its a decent price, but do you want to worry with any extra problems that could come from a car with 240K?

Well its going to be my daily driver/beater however knowing me I'll change my mind and turn it into a project car and have to find yet another daily driver

anyway yeah the timing belt was changed about 30k miles ago according to the seller..

I guess I just think its a really good deal but at the same time its cheap for a reason.. maybe I should talk him down a lil?

Def. get the price down to $1000 at most....If you whip your car evan a little youll mostly likely be looking into some engine work in the near future...like said before, get new belts. Good luck

If the car is going to be a car you'd like to work on and fix up, I'd suggest you consider purchasing it. You can spend a little to purchase the car and then add to it little by little. With a Honda, mileage is not that big of a deal (they can run forever), but if it bothers you a lot, just save and drop a new engine in it or just replace parts on the existing engine as necessary. With the AC deal, my HB doesn't have it, and I get by just fine. You can probably survive without it (in my opinion). If you just want the car to get around, you might want to look a bit more. It's all up to you, so decide well.

I was checking KBB for ya, and from what it said with a 92 sedan dx with 240k, your getting a pretty good deal. At least from what I can see/know. Are there any modifications on the car at all?

if it is salvaged check for welding scars on the front sides of the hood.....dont want a messed up engine....check the clutch.....and see if the gears grind

Nah the car is tottally stock. never modified...
Well I know its priced well below the bluebook however when a car has this many miles I think a lot of that can be thrown out the window cuz people are not inclined to buy a car with that many miles usually so the book value is a lil misleading...
Anyway I'm gonna go take a look at it at 1pm today so wish me luck guys! I need a daily driver bad

Alright I checked it out today... the seller was a real nice guy BUT....

The rear bumper cover was cracked and needs to be replaced and repainted.
The car used to be red but now its that light green color... whats worse is it's a macco paint job and its very very crappy paint and it shows!!

The dude said he wont go less than 1100... any thoughts?

I'd say to keep looking, unless you just really want the car for doing your own mods to it. It's up to you though; I would personally look around a bit more. Good luck!

If it didn't have a freakin whackass macco paint job that is ALREADY fading and chipping off it wouldnt be such a big deal.. plus the mileage is a concern.. however 1100 for a honda is a pretty good deal..

yeah a good deal but you gotta repaint it that is 500 bucks if you want AC installed that is another 4-600 why not just save up 2K and buy a more fully equipped car as far as the mileage goes it isnt a big concern because if the car was taken car of then there is no problem
