Tell the truth now... I'm sure it was fun to meet up and look at everything but, driving the track is a real life experience.

How many are curious but, didn't drive or ride for one reason or another?


How many people got rides and liked it so much that they want to do this tomorrow?

And how many just wanted to get a ride to see if it's all for them but, didn't?

This is an idea that we might like to consider for next expo, maybe registering to hop a ride and experience what others of us already love so much.

I've been wanting to track, I've been working on my car for this purpose. Expo was my first time actually at a track for an event. And My absolute first ride on one (thanks Ausmith). It was all that I expected and more, an absolute blast to feel the car get pushed and respond to the driver/track.

 

Oh so poor right now, I think for now I am gonna tune myself with some auto-x practice and shtuff.

And then maybe in last August a track day...

...if its in reno Too bad we wont get laguna seca...that in itself would be priceless.

i enjoyed a change of pace as i've never been on such an interesting track setup. hi-speed go kart racing!

caused yellow flagging every session I was in (salut to Ross! ), but it was very fun and great experience.

but I will say that driving and being the passenger is two different feelings all together. But it sure does get you into the gist of how things are on the track.

You're welcome Chris. But, that was super slow and crowded... You gotta get a ride and really feel what it's like sometime soon.

well i got to go out with dave (bdiddy)...it definately opened my eyes up

 

I don't know if I have GFCP from the expo, but now I'm curious to see how far I can exploit the limits of my R.

Will definitely be attending more HPDE this year to get to know my car better.

Oh, IMHO, real track is a completely different beast than autoX. Some technics from autoX will get you in trouble at high speed conditions.

But, ITR is really neutral in feel and it does what the driver tells it to do.

 

I went out twice. It had to be the greatest 20 collective minutes of my life! What I'm trying to figure out at this point is what I actually have to keep when I sell everything I own to build an ITC car.... god my wife is going to hate me. Big thanks to Kevin and his father for taking me out in the orange civic and Kevins ITR, you two got me hooked... this is your fault! I had a great time, it was nice meeting everyone.

 

I was a spectator and I can't wait to get out there now. Luckily I only live like 40min from beaver run so I will get the chance. I wish I could have met more of you guys I kinda felt out of place, I was the one with the Silver GS-R with the JDM Front end.

 

I went to drink. Had been thinking of selling the hype r so i didnt track, now i dont care so i want to track the kaa

 

I didnt go to the expo but I would love to ride with someone on a track. I have wanted to track before but I am honestly nervous about it. All I keep thinking is "what if i wreck my car" or "what if i suck". I will just have to just go out and do it. I thought about going to a racing school first. I have ridden with a buddy at a auto X event and it was pretty fun but I am not crazy about going fast in a parking lot. Is it better to auto x first or can I just take a class and head out to the track?

 

I have officially been infected with the GFCP!! Unfortunately, I won't be getting my ITR until the end of the month. I wished I had it beforehand so badly!!

But thanks to ghettoracer (Frank Lin) and bbqman (Carl from TracRacing) I got to talk alot about racing and what not.

BIG THANKS TO TREY AND THE WHOLE CREW INVOLVED!!!

The one with the Speed of Sound banner and the Mugen wing? I really liked that car, I couldn't get enough pics of it

 

I am defintely planning on going to MANY more events and taking some driving courses.... I AM HOOKED, especially from the ride in Chad and Warren's cars

Yeah I was jealous, I heard Warrens ride was the "E" ticket roller coaster ride for chucking lunch but, couldn't get in because he was booked with you and many others... Glad you had fun... IF you rode with them and are still interested then you really do know what you are getting into.

Haha, another one to the GFCP! No problem Erich, it was my pleasure. BTW, DO NOT send a hysterical scorn woman after me!

I really wish I had a passenger seat in the Prelude for you guys. Believe me, I tried! It was just too cramed in there to safely put in a passenger. Damn does that car fly!

 

I want to drive soooo bad, my car handles like a pig, and I dont drive an ARRR. Watching the whole weekend makes me want to go less for straightline performance and more for the twisties. All in time though I guess, someday I'll be out there in my bloated 4 door.

Oh hell yeah... Totally LOVED it, my adrenaline was pumping and I didn't want to get out of their cars lol I was like, damn its over already!!! I will defintely begin racing ASAP
