Default How reliable is this method of bleeding brakes?

Hey,
I had Speedbleeders on my car for about a year but two of them started to leak a bit , and no matter how tight I make them they still leak...I know the conventional way of bleeding brakes with two people, one to press the pedal, the other to watch the plastic hose for air bubbles, etc. I don't have anyone with me right now to help, so how efficient is a one-man bleed using the stock bleeder screws, a plastic hose, and a jar of old brake fluid with the plastic hose submerged, and hanging it above the calipers/drums so air can go up and out? I know this is a two man job, but I need my car like right away, and I don't want to drive because the Speedbleeders are slightly leaking. I don't want any kind of brake failure while I'm on the highway. Thanks.

You need 2 people. Just grab a neighbor or friend who can follow directions. All they have to do is sit in the car and push the pedal when you tell them. Took me about an hour to bleed the brakes last time I did it and I just had my old roomie pump the pedal.

You need to get married and drag your wife out to the garage like I do.

Damn...never thought bleeding the brakes would be so expensive !!!

PS, unless you have a fluid bowser (not likely), you will need another person... I don't see any possible way to do it correctly by yourself.
