I am asking because I am pricing out labour charges, and I would like to use my main shop, but i am guessing he has never worked on swapping a b18c1 into a civic (not si). My guess is shops used to the swaps are cheaper. any ideas??

 

Since it requires virtually no fabrication, any shop that doesn't suck can do it for you. Will they do it any better than you and a couple friends in your driveway with hand tools? Probably not, unless they're a Honda-specific shop. I urge you to do the swap on your own, seeing as it's a huge learning esperience and rather difficult to mess up.
