Well i gave the ol' d15b7 to hella shifts at 6400 rpm and now she don't accelorate worth a dam past about 1700 rpm. The gas pedals moves up and down freely and speed and rpm just slowly climbs. I checked the oil, it was low after putting a whole quart in 2 weeks. Due for oil change not for another 1000 kms. Pulled out the dipstick after putting in new oil and some smoke was comin out.

What you think? I have been saving for a swap and refuse to fix this thing, but would like top hear what I may have done to her.

possible clutch slipping? brakes binding?

 

it was still going into gear and everything fine, and brakes seem to be working fine as always ......it all had to do with accelerating in some way.......but i know a whole lotta nuthing about mechanics, so...

 

Sounds like it's time for a compression & leakdown test. That should yeild your answer.

Ya i think it will sit in the driveway while I study for exams and look into more swap stuff. I refuse to spend one sent on that drivetrain.
