Default Summer Time's Coming

And I was wondering if anyone knew what is involved in a Freon changeover. My brother and I both drive 90 accords, and he has no more froen in his car. The dealer wants to charge $125 to fill up the a/c. I am not sure if that is r12 which the car came with, and which is also illegal now or is that converting over to r34 freon? I am confused.

The dealer is most likely charging for refilling the r12. It is illegal to produce r12 but it is legal to sell it. Ask the dealer how much they charge to retro-fit your car to r134.

it cost me $75 bucks at a independent shop to get my Jetta's freon refilled so that's ~about~ right.

Yes it is.

If you're a member of BJs wholesale club, I know they sell the 134 refills and I think they sell the changeover kits as well. you might want to look into that.
