Default ?s b18a1 into 87 crx si

me and my friends just bought a project car, for the engine we plan to to drop in a b18a1, it is a 87 crx si, i looked around but i cant find anything about putting this motor in, can anybody help me out, will we need to find the tranny for this motor or can we use the stock crx one, what about ecu and wiring, thanks for any help

all we have done so far is put a 98 civic front end on it(fenders, hood, lights, front bumper)

You guys will need alot of money. Check hasport.com, they make B series mounts
and other swap components - but it's not cheap. The stock tranny will not bolt up
to a B series.

Out of curiosity, any pics of the front end conversion?? email; id4graphics@hotmail.com

i dont have pics but i can take them if u wanna see them, its not the best job,its on, tack welded in certain spots so it will stay while we adjust everything, the hood as of right now is just sitting on there but not for long, the headlights are just propped in

I agree.. I hate to be negative, but I don't see how this is gonna end up looking good. I could be wrong. I'll like to see how it looks when it's done. Good luck guys.

what, and you had a complete 96 front end lying around?

i think it's disgusting, and don't understand WHY?! could you guys not afford a 96 hatch maybe?

but yeah i used to have an 87 civic si with a B20vtec. there's plenty of info on here if you search for it and hasport.com prolly is gonna be the most usefull.

this **** is tight, well, better than all those riced out cars out there and it is much harder to do something like that than just bolting in a kit. i think this would look a hell of a lot better if you put a combat rear bumper and side skirts(andysautosport:extremedimensions) as well as a drift front bumper. with some nice paint this **** would look killa NICE but NOT RICE!!!!!

How so, It looks like it is bolted on, with no body work to make it flow.

Not my thing, but its not my car.

almost every project car that ive worked on or have done has looked ugly before it was done and looked good when it was done, this is a project, the pictures u saw were just the begining. give it sometime, like i said, some people will like it some people wont

bolted on? of course its bolted on, we havent got to the actual making it flow with the car yet, it takes time, we want it to sit right and everything before we start fiberglassing parts to make it look clean, like i said before its a project car
