Default jrsc bypass valve

its the black deal on the back of the intake mani for the jrsc right? if you were to blow or suck on the hose thats coming from
the bypass valve, should the little throttle body deal open up when you do so? a friend of mine is saying that it should.

You would have to suck REALLLLY hard to be able to move the bypass valve at all. If you can suck that hard, you might want to consider a career in adult movies.

The bypass valve is fully open at idle (around 20" of vacuum). Most people can generate maybe 3" or so of vacuum by sucking on a vacuum line.

If the bypass valve is working correctly, applying vacuum on the hose will cause the actuator rod to move inside the bypass valve. However, I don't think you can generate enough vacuum by sucking on the hose. Just watch it move when the engine starts.

You can use a zip-tie to lock the bypass valve open. That's an emissions trick.

It also works good if you let someone borrow your car.
