MPFI swap question!?!
OK guys, I know we see these threads all of the time but this is a different question than I always see.
I have all of the parts for an MPFI swap except for the fact that I have 92-95 eg civic injectors and not the 88-91 injectors. If I were to sue the injector resistor box from the EG would it work, or do I HAVE to get the 4g injectors?? Plus, since the IM and all sensors are from an OBD1 car, will they plug into my existing wiring harness?? Thanks guys!

well since i dunno what that karma thing is about ill tell you. all the injectors are the same, you can use any resistor box and no harness is plug and play unless you swap out the entire SI harness and even then i dont think it will just plug and play. But to answer your question everything should work just like normal
i was told the 92-95 EX uses a resistor box but i cant be 100% sure on that cuz i dont remember hahaha. but i am pretty sure it doesnt matter what the injectors come from and you can use any resistor box.
I have a ?? too
Someone told me when they say "you can use unused pins at b2 and b11" that even though they have a wire comming from those spots that you can just clip those wires and move them to b10 and b12 BUT if they are "unused" then why do they have wires comming from them instead of none like some of the other pin locations? am i better off just takin some from a junkyard plug and not risking cuttin my wires?

Well my car has spots in the fuse box for things the car never came with. I figure the car is pre-wired for everything, so those wires are probably for something non of us have or something.

sorry bro but u dont know what u acutally saying....
i have done that and got the answetrs..... lets clear the questions....
if u got 5G civic injector plugs.... u need to modify OBDO injectors in order to make them fit into the plugs(i know thats what i have)
about injectors..... u cant use the 5G civic ones... they are 10-13ohms... OBDO are 1.5-3.5 ohms.... i used OBDI injectors and fried them in a matter of a month... car ran like ****.... u gotta use the OBDO.. even if u take inj resistor off they will fry... diff its on saturated and peak and hold in the way the inj internals react with the current...
and not all injectors are the same... 88-91 are 1.5-3.5 ohms, 240cc....92-00 are 10-13 ohms, and i beleive are peak and hold....(always comfuse them)and they are also 240cc. all honda injectors but the Prelude vtec ones are 240cc.. poreludes are 270cc
