........ 5 RIB belt for the JRSC ?????????
We are looking into making a 5 Rib belt from the alterantor to the supercharger. It would use a stepper pulley ,a new supercharger pulley and a 5 rib belt. It would give more traction for higher boost set ups with less belt tension, infact 25% more.
We have to make 15 kits to make it reasonble , We would be able to sell the kit for $349, which would be two pulleys and the belt , We are having the belts made by Dayco.
If there is an interest , please let me know.

It would take about 3 weeks to have them built , The belts we have.
The stepper pulley would give 2.5-3 psi booost increase

so since you're having the belts made, would it be a special order item from you every time we needed a replacement belt? how much is a replacement? also since its more ribs, i would assume that makes the pullies stick out further (correct me if i'm wrong). would this cause fitment issues with a B16A/CRX configuration where clearances are tight to begin with? sounds like a good idea you have though. if it was less expensive, i might consider it. also, is the new stepper pully still rated for 6psi? let me know if you have plans for a 8 or 9psi 5 rib pulley, that way buyers could be killing two birds with one stone.

you're a faster typer than me

The way we designed it , there wouldn't be any changes or clearance issues. I have done a lot of CRX's so we kept that in mind.
The belts would cost about $10 a piece.
It would be a stepper pulley and the blower pulley would be a 3.8" , On a GSR it would take you from 6 to about 9 -9.5 psi. On a B16A and type R a little more.

Just bolt on the blower pulley and the alt pulley and install the belt the same way, Everything else is the same. You just don't need as much tension on the belt.

Re-read the post. 5 rib belt, an alternator pulley and blower pulley replacement.
For those not too familiar with their JRSC kits, the blower pulley runs off the alternator pulley. What John is planning is a new alternator pulley and blower pulley that are 5 RIB instead of the stock 4rib to decrease slippage and make it so they dont have to be so tight. 5 rib is a stronger belt obviously.
The alternator pulley will be designed so that a boost increase is realized. About 2.5-3PSI, as he said. So youre looking at 9PSI on a GSR.
