Default PG7 ecu questions...

I might get a PG7 ecu. I tried searching, but the new search engine blows and won't regconize the words "pg7 and "ecu." What are the advantages on running a PG7 ecu on a d16a6 motor over the stock ecu?

I dont really think there are any advantages, slightly higher rev limiter, it'll probably make you run a lil rich. Stick with the stock or get it chipped.

some say it runs richer...some say it doesn't. ive also heard its the same program as the pm6...just a higher fuel cutoff. i tried a pg7 on my a6 and couldn't tell any difference from the butt dyno, but i never can tell a difference in anything. if you can get it for cheap/free...try it. just dont over rev it.

the A6 crank can handle a max of about 7 k rpms. dont take that A6 too high.... also on that engine specific u might encounter the problem of runnig rich... IMO the PM6 is the best bet.....
