Default K-Series ECU interchangability

Here's what I got

k20A3 out of a usdm 03 Civic Si

I have a K20 Type-r ecu that has been cracked and the imobilizer removed

will this ecu run that motor? or will I need to use the PNB ecu (I think thats the code for the K20A3 ecu)

The k20a (DC5R) ecu's never had immoblizers to begin with. It will get your car running, but it won't be the greatest. KPro/k100 is worth every damn penny.

They type r had an immobilizer but it was really easy to bypass, just by grounding one pin...

The ecu will run the motor but since it is not the correct motor, it will cause it to run very rough and possible damage your engine since it has a different rev limit and the fuel and ignition maps are for different cams and compression.,.

In other words, nothing good is going to come out of it.. onlything you can achieve is to damage your motor..

Just go K-Pro on whatever ECU you have and tune it on the dyno
