Default Gauge cluster lights?

Does anyone know what size bulbs go into the gauge cluster and how many? I know it's either 194's or 168's, amber colored and I'm not sure if a specific size has to go into the cluster or are they interchangeable? Does anyone have a recommendation on a bright amber bulb that I should use?

How hard is it to take the cluster out to change the bulbs? This is the first time I'll be messing with it.

The reason I'm asking is because the cluster lights in my R are not that bright. They have always been like that, and when I drove my friends R they were a lot brighter than mine.

THANKS in advance!!

Just a bump to see if someone can tell me how difficult it is to take out the gauge cluster.

three screws for the cluster

You do not need to get amber bulbs because the cluster itself is orange.

o ok, so I guess there is some kind of orange film between the bulbs and the gauge faces? Thanks I didnt know that!

OOPS I ran into a snag, does anyone know how many bulbs go into the gauge cluster?

There are three main backlighting bulbs. The bulbs are clear as stated (the back of the guages are painted).
