Default Anyone with cam gear on D Series?

I just got my skunk2 cam gear on my D16A6 and I advanced the timing 3 degrees and then I go adjust the distributor and it only turns like 2 centimeters. So I put the timing light back on and see that I am about .25 inch retarded from what it should be. Is this OK? I'm gonna drive it soon to see how it acts but any suggestions?

Go to the dyno if you want to tune your motor.. Hit and miss could cause you to cause serious damage to your motor.

P.S. I just got an STR cam gear and put it on at the stock setting until I have the chance to get to the dyno.. When I do, I'll let you know how it goes.
