spoon cams + valve springs?

Default spoon cams + valve springs?

i need some advice please
i recently bought some spoon cams for my B16A engine
is it necessary to buy the spoon valve springs as well?

Yes you should upgrade the whole valvetrain. Valve Springs,Retainers and even get the Type R LMA's(Lost Motion Assemblies)

You don't really need the spoon valvetrain. But you need some kind of upgrade tho. The spoon cams can be used with ITR/CTR valvetrain. But how high do you want to rev the engine too? I think anything past 9k your going to get something better than the ITR/CTR valvetrain. Like CIVICVTI2 says get the ITR/CTR LMA's.

if you plan going over 8600 rpms , you will need more then itr valvetrain .
a good combo would be ITR outters and ericks racing inners (almost same as portflows) and some nice TI retainers would be nice

i don't think i'll be going past 8600
it's mainly for street use and some fun on the track

btw, how high is the rev limit of the apexi power FC? is it 10000rpm?

i'm just planning to put in spoon cams, toda cam gears, toda timing belt, and power FC into the B16A, hope i get some decent power gains
