If your looking for alternators check out http://www.4alterstart.com

life time warranty on his alternators. Can't beat that.

$250 for a 150amp alt for a teg with life time warranty. I'm gonna pick one up this summer.

Back from the dead, since I need an alternator

Has anyone tried this 150 amp alternator http://www.4alterstart.com/pag...tegra

Supposedly it will output 70 amps at idle and has a lifetime warranty.

This might be a stupid question. if the alternator is running 150ish amps, and it is connected right to the positive battery pole, and the wire back to my amp runs off that pole, and the fuse in the two gauge wire is 65 amps, and the fuses on the amp are 2 25amps, why would you want 150 amps, do the amps only pass through the wire if they are demanded by the amp or do they circulate until they are used.

If your amp is fused for 50 amps, you do not need an alternator. I am assuming that you do not have a civic cx which I think is a 35 amp alt.
