Quick Header Question???

Default Quick Header Question???

Now i know that the 99-00 civic si header will fit a del sol with a b16 but will it fit a del sol with a b18b???

I know it will bolt up but I'm not sure if the length to the cat is the same.

yes it will bolt up but the cat length will have to modified and probably the flange will have to be turned

Back it up a sec, why do you think that will fit? The b18b is quite a bit deeper then the the b16a.. how will it fit?

What do you mean when you say deeper? The way a header or exhaust manifold bolts up is the same on b series motors.

Wait a sec why would the flange have to be turned if the header is already meant to fit on the
del sol vtec and the 00 si

I thought that the b18 blocks were deeper then the b16s, so that b16 headers wouldnt clear the oil pan.. am I wrong about this?

del sol vtec and the 00 si </TD></TR></TABLE>i retract my statement...im not sure if the flange will have to be turned...i know this is true for b18c1 b18c5 and b16 headers....when they are interchanged the cat flange has to be changed...i know the header will fit on the motor im not sure about the fitment on the cat though
