Default Header

I was wondering if a header for a B16 will fit a B18B? My friend has an almost new DC 4-2-1 that he said he will sell me for 120.

So they have the same size collecter? And what all would I have to buy to install it?

it will bolt right up, the collector size should be the same, but i think the b18b header is slightly longer...

So I would have to get some kind of modification? Or will it go right up with my stock cat and Greddy Evo?

You will need modification. Itll bolt to the head but not right up to the cat.

Actually - most b-series headers are not interchangable.

it may not clear the oil pan, only one way to find out... and yes you will need to push back the cat, (chop some exhaust off) b/c the gsr has an extremely short header.

Did you make it fit? If so, how hard was it?

oil pan could affect it...I forgot if the LS motor is exempt from this or not...so many rules to remember...

the B18 header is taller than the B16 header, I forgot why, oil pan? block? I dunno, do a search and you'll see what I am talking about.

B16/17 block is shorter than b16b, b18a/b/c, b20 etc.

Ok, so it will not fit at all, or with some mods?

I have a b16 header on my LS it clears the oil pan but mine has no flanges to bolt to any hangers and i had to have the collector pipe welded in they cut the flange off my stock header and weld it to the b16 header. Note it gets close to the block and sometimes you can hear a metal ringing but not to often
