A JRSC at 9psi. Which exhaust would be best. Would 3inch be too big?


Anyone know a forumla I could use to find best exhaust size?

 

I have a 2.5 inch all the way back with a Mugen twin loop , I made 1 peak horse power when I dropped it an ran open header.
I am at 286 WHP.

 

Do you think stock 2.25 would be fine on 6psi? Any idea how much HP I'd be loosing?

stock isnt 2.25... mine was a little under 2" i believe

 

how much HP are you making at 9psi? I have read from many posts that 2.5 is best till you hit 300+. Then its time for 3 inch. Correct me if I am wrong!

 

I have heard many differant things , I was told 2.5" isn't big enough at 250 WHP.
My next dyno session I will up the Boost and run ice water in the intercooler and shoot for 300WHP , I will drop the exhaust again and see what happens. Maybe I am at the limit of my exhaust.
