Think I might have discovered a stolen ITR motor, tell me if my suspicions are correct.

This is from my local board, this guys is trying to sell a B18C5, but there is no VIN on the motor and tranny. Tell me what you guys think.

My motor has no vin on the blcok on tranny.

Bought the motor brand new from the factory and the tranny came from japan.

Bought the motor brand new from the factory and the tranny came from japan. </TD></TR></TABLE>New engine blocks from the factory don't have VIN plates on them, there will be 2 empty holes for the rivets instead. Same with the trans., but I dunno if JDM engines/trannies are identified the same way.
