Couple nitrous questions...
Okay the other day I got a used nitrous kit. The guy I got it from was a freind of mine, he bought it and never installed it, he bought it used. So I bought it off him, and I want to order new jets. I want a 35, 50 and 75, how do I know which ones to order, and where can I order them? And is there anyway I can tell what size shot is currently on the kit? Im a NEWBIE when it comes to Nitrous. Its a N.O.S kit by the way.
you can order the parts from NOS. have fun i sold mine befor ei ever installed it because of the fear of blowing the motor or killing myself. and if its an import kit it is the adjustable NOS system, which i believe is 45-50-60 or something to that affect. check out the website and it will tell you. they didnt make a higher shot than that for the import car unless you modified itt o be
Well I dont really care about blowing the motor, I mean I blow them enough as it is, lol. I have been through 5 motors, and the motor is currently blown on the car now. But I am rebuilding it, so I dont think it will have a problem holding a 50 shot. Anyway, I am just wondering if anyone knows any part numbers, or can I buy them directly from holley.
Okay now heres another question, I was looking at the two solenoids, and they say super powershot, I was at the website, and it says super powershot is a 100-150 hp setup, now i was wondering if that means that the solenoids are only good for that, or does it not matter? I have no clue other than this kit was used on a civic before, supposedly. I mean if its not good i can buy the solenoids hopefully but i would rather know if they will work, for a 50 shot. Thats basically all I want to run.
The two nitrous solenoids indicate the kit is a dry set up. One wire goes to positive and one to negative. You can combine the two solenoids wires together. The solenoids will make a loud click when you touch it to the battery, this indicates the winding are good. There is a piston inside that opens and closes. The Hp rating on the solenoid indicates flow capacity. Your set up will have no problem flowing fifty hp, just get the correct jet.
If you have two soleniods it is going to be a wet kit. One for nitrous and one for fuel (that is the setup that I like tohe best BTW) Super powershots are what I run on my stang and it runs a 250 shot. They seem to handle it fine.
You will need to buy a shrader valve to go on the fuel rail to hook up the fuel line also.
If you are in D-ville just go to USA motorsports on pioneer in arlington that is where I get all my stuff.

Some of the better Performance Shops should carry the jets/pills you want, rather then having to order them from NOS. Might try doing some calling around first. Having two noids on a dry set-up is better then just having one. That way if one fails, you still have a back-up to shut it off...
