Default check out my new rods.

I am finally getting my engine back together. I am runnign LS rods with srp 9:1 pistons. the difference in the 2 rods is amazing. (LS on left, d16z6 on right)

for all of those interested in doing this mod, it isnt as easy as oen would think. things to consider.
1. you have to use aftermarket pistons once the LS rods are rebushed
2. the cost almost puts you in the range of Eagle rods. (If i was going to have a sleeved block, then i would get eagle rods, but my sleeves will go before my rods.)

benefits:
1. they are honda engineered
2. I believe they weigh less than eagles (with the new pistons the weight difference null)
3. no notching the block. (but you do have to have machine work done to the rods so not really an issue)

enjoy.

They are ******* toothpicks, that's the ONE thing that I absoluty hate about the D's are those rods.

What exactly has to be done to the LS rods to fit in a D block?

I'm also assuming the machine work would be the same for the ZC.

and I thought LS rods looked small next to the eagles I had, damn, they really do make the d-series rod look like a toothpick!

I believe I remember seeing four wickedly bent, but not broken rods on overboost.com once, they were off of a customer car that was running some astronomically advanced timing so much premature cylinder pressure, bent the rods in the shape of a crecent moon.
