Default Figured I'd share my dyno too

With all of these dyno threads, I'd figure I'd show mine too. I've never told you guys my setup or anything, I just started posting. Here it is:

Mods are: generic intake, jdm 4-1 (with skidplate ), 2.5 in custom exhaust (some crush bends but not a biggie), b&m fpr at stock pressure, JE 10.5:1 flat tops, and a Skunk2 ecu (untuned).

I just went to see what I put down. I don't know why I have all that torque. It's crazy when I see some of these dyno with all of these badass parts and I pull more torque. I would like to have all that HP though.

EDIT: Just saw I misspelled "I'd," that sucks.

Nothing like running some headers and exhaust to bump up some torque!! Good numbers but i would of fooled around the fuel pressure PSI there is always some power to be gained there!!

Actually with the chipped ecu it runs so rich that I'd make more power if I leaned it out with a VAFC or something.

nice #'s definately get a VAFC and fine tune it
skunk2 ecu's are notorious for running rich

why did you get new pistons but the stock compression? do you plan on spraying soon?

I thought stock compresion was 10:1? The motor was bulit for a plate kit and it was the only GSR swap the shop had. I really wanted the P72 head. It'll get a 100 shot DP but not for a while because I'm a poor college student.

That jump in power right around 5800 isnt vtec kicking in but rather the secondaries opening...I would personally do something about that, because your IM is restricting HP below the sec. opening pt.

I've never seen a jump like that in a gsr dyno. Doesn't the stock IM provide smooth midrange?

Yes but then again...we arent talking about a stock gsr are we? Due to the improved air flow of the intake and exhaust its going to change how the air flow reacts with the dual stages of the IM. More or less with opening up the intake and exhaust the engine is allowed to suck in more air, the next restrictions are the TB and IM. The stock IM was made for stock parts, thus the engine is striving for more air with the I/E and whenever the stock IM finally opens the secondaries it allows the engine to get all the air it needs. You might try to lower the secondaries to around 4800-5k and it should smooth it out. BTW, to get more HP get a slightly bigger stage I cam, maybe some ITRs.

How the hell do u lower the secondaries opening?

Do secondaries even open with the skunk2 program/ecu?

It's possible to change the secondary opening point. "kelly" on team-integra.net has been experimenting with it. I cannot remember the details, though.

As far as I know the only way the secondaries can open is with a P72. And Skunk2 uses P28's, correct?

good #'s . I'm pretty close to you with intake, header 2.5 exhaust, vafc and intake manifold.
I put down 156 hp and 117 tq in my gsr.

Woah! To all you guys wondering about the secondaries, they're open all the time. The P28 causes this. Yeah, they're stock cams, and the P28 program makes that high VTEC crossover. My friend has a JDM GSR with the JDM P72 ECU in there, and in my opinion the VTEC kicks in too early, and it doesn't move until the secondaries open anyway. As big of a jump as I have, I'd still take this ECU over a stock P72 if I had the chance to get one in the beginning.
