Default Bore out Throttle Body?

Anyone know where to get my throttle body bored out? I am in the Chicago area. Can i do it myself? How hard is it? Good idea, or bad idea? I am just looking for increased throttle response mostly

I strongly suggest having Vernon from Raver bore your throttle body. Give him a call at 559-733-4711 or email him at pdqzxtt@msn.com. He does the best throttle bodies I have ever seen. Be sure to tell him Kenji sent you.

I get the guys at A&J Racing, Vancouver to do the job. They bore the TB's opening to about 70mm and not changing the throttle plate. The throttle response is quite a lot better and u can feel the difference. 200cdn job...

About 7-10hp at the flywheel in mid range I think?

I seriously doubt a bored TB will yield a 7-10 Hp increase at the flywheel. If you know of one that does this please let me know where to get one.

Making the inlet of the TB 70mm does help a little bit. But, you need to make the bore larger throughout to get the best gains.

Chris,

An acquaintance of mine, who used to work at Speed Sport(former owner of the Mugen ITR), is going to be getting mine done within the next few weeks. Let me know if your interested and I'll get in touch with him. Only problem is he needs it for about 5 days.

Let me know.
