what does it mean if "the VIN wasnt there when i took the tranny out"

its at $300 right now. not saying its stolen or not, but if anyone is looking for a ITR tranny. here is one. 8000 miles on it.

apparently the guy who is selling it cant find the VIN. can anyone check it out?

by the looks of the tranny its not a 00 either that or they live somewhere they lay down a bunch of salt. its got salt pits on the tranny. im not a person that trusts ppl from ebay so until i got a pic from the side of the tranny so verify LSD or a shot from the front to see the tranny code i wouldnt buy it.

I agree.
I would steer clear of that tranny, especially if the guy has no clue what he is talking about.
