I'm considering doing a ZC swap instead of a B16 swap that I had planned on doing, due to the fact that it is so much cheaper. I know a few people who've done this swap in their EFs and ran into problem after problem. What all do I need to know to make this swap trouble free.. well almost trouble free? This is gonna be my daily driver and only car for a while. Or would it be better just to pay more and get the B16? Will the B16 be more reliable?

All you guys running ZCs, please post what setup you are running (ecu, tranny, etc.) You comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I've put over 14k miles on my ZC and haven't had any problems related to the swap. My set up is a 1990 CRX HF....PM7 ECU....SI tranny.....I really like this engine. It pulls kinda' hard and excluding Cobras, I can keep up with most Mustangs. Plus, I get 30+ MPG....what's not to like?

Remember we are going where Honda didn't intend us to go...

 

im running a PM6 ecu with a Si tranny. i like my set-up. i might be better off with the PM7 ecu, but i sent the stock ecu to get reprogrammed. the DOHC ZC pulls hella good!
