Plus/Minus of ZC vs. B16A(G1) for 90 CRX si?
I was wondering which is best bang for the buck. My intention is daily driving with monthly AutoX and once in a while big track like Willowspring.
I am planing to do the swap myself, so I can learn about it too. It will be my weekend project, or however long it will take.
Suggestions welcome.

ZC is cheaper to buy and or replace
B16 is a more powerfull and stronger motor
B16 is Vtec = good for road racing
B16 has more upgrades
ZC you don't need a mount kit or modifying the shift linkage
For your first swap I would go with the ZC incase you **** anything up it is very cheap to replace and is a very easy swap to do. A ZC was my first swap in my EF and I loved it, ran great pulled hard and was tons of fun

I saw a guy with a ZC running like 16.5's at the track... . But then again, there was another guy with a ZC that he'd upgraded, and he was running mid-to-low-15's.
I think the B16A has more potential, and the cost really isn't that much more.
However, the ZC engine sounds much, much sweeter than the B16A, IMO .

Yeah price is not all that much different if you have nothing to build on for example if you buy a Si crx or civic all you really need is the long block which can be bought for around $300, which in my eyes is way cheaper than doing the whole change over, which is about $1100
