gsr cluster in and working but some probs
Ok I got my gsr cluster in my 88 hatch and have everything hooked up even the vss. Ok now here is my problem, turn key to acc or even start the car the speedo jumps to 40mph then when I start moving it goes up from there. Also it is still throwing a code 17 vss code WHY? If me removing the needle has anything to do with it being at 40 mph just let me know. But why amI getting this code? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
is it hooked up the the vss wire going to the ecu? that could be your problem.
Or you just need to reset your ecu.
Also u moving your needle probably did mess something up. Just reset your ecu and it should be ok

try this:
Black= make sure it's good ground
yellow/blue= power (connect this to a yellow wire inside your stock harness)
yellow/white= signal (connect this to b6 orange wire from GSR plug)
Reconnect b11 to a power source and connect b6 to the signal from the VSS.

Ok here is how my vss is hooked up.
Black=ground
Yellow/blue is hooked up in the fuse box to a power
Yellow/white is hooked to the orange wire
Why did you say reconnect b11 to power source i never switched it or disconnected it?
