I saw a post by someone that did this a few weeks ago. Search maybe? I don't remember which forum it was in, but it was probably only last week. Civic hatch if I remember right.

my search isn't working right now for some reason, but do you recall if he said it was worth doing?....i don't expect to be running noticable faster, but going from glass to c/f is a good difference....i'd rather not have a sunroof at all as far as weight goes, but it's my daily driver, so i like the luxuries.

You like luxeries but want to remove it..hm.

I have seen it done and it works out ok but I personally wouldn't do it.

i appreciate the posts, but a little differently from the one that was done on that link i want my sunroof to still open and slide (therefore the luxury that i want to keep), i just want to replace the glass piece it'self with carbon fiber to help reduce the weight...i'm not quite sure how well i'm explaining it...but thanks

It's like Nike.

Just do it.

Whatever you do is going to be custom. Just attempt it and what doesn't work, fix it or forget it. Since not many ppl have done this or if you can't find someone who has, try it out and see.
