Default oil in my coolant reservoir

I just had my head recently put on and my arp head studs installed...i think the arp studs have to be re-torqued to 70 lbs correct. Could this be the problem to the oil in coolant reservoir? Do i have to replace my coolant and add new coolant in after i re-torque the head? Do i need a new headgasket? i put in a mugen headgasket and dont want to waste it...thanks for any info

Yes, you'll need a new headgasket and I highly recommend torquing the head bolts to spec so coolant and oil does not go to the wrong lines inside the block.

You may re-use the headgasket, as long as its in good condition. I would clean it up and wash the whole system out by draining all oil and coolant after you have torqued down the head bolts.

HTH.

I would NEVER re-use a headgasket, to me, that's like re-using toiletpaper....it just ain't right.

oh ya thats the head gasket......have the head checked and resurfaced if needed.....honda head gaskets are around 60-70 bucks....take a nice warm sunday and change it out....and you might want to look check into new head bolts...ive never reused them...for fear or them being stretched...good luck

I never reuse headgaskets either... Tho i'm sure it will be fine with a little copperspray I just like having a new gasket... NO MATTER how many times you rip apart the motor... $60 isn't too bad!! I'm sure TimoneX will be in here soon... he always seems to find the same posts I do about reusing headgaskets... It's all good tho, we all have our own opinions... Latez
