Default Coolant Leak Between Head and Block

I just found a leak on my car and wanted to get some opinions. I've got a LS turbo with a built bottom end and ARP head studs. There's some coolant that seems to be coming from between the head and block, primarily on the tranny side of the motor. The engine was running great, no smoking or overheating, but I did lose some coolant.

Could it be that I just need to retorque the head studs (have not done this yet with about 600 miles since I rebuilt the motor) or could it be the headgasket? The oil looks fine, but there are some signs of oil in the coolant (small amounts of "cloudiness" in overflow tank and under the radiatior cap).

I've searched, but I haven't read about a case like mine where there is leaking on the outside of the motor.

Please help if you can. TIA

Sounds like your head studs are a little loose. Try retorquing the nuts and the studs.

You may have used the wrong head gasket if it is a vtec head.

Thanks for the feedback... I won't get to it till tomorrow, but I'll update the thread for anyone that is seeing the same problem.

BTW, it's just an LS head, no vtec.

Are you positive you used an ls gasket? I'm just guessing but if the leak is really between the head and the block, that usually is the problem.
