1. The Spoon ITR STILL has not shown up, it left A&J 2 weeks ago and today the Trucking Company call around 9AM having problems with Customs, Supposedly they crossed the border around 12-1PM today When it does show I still have to install Front Bumper, Passenger Fender, Passenger Seat

2. The "Friend" that was going to let me rent his Ramp Truck and has assured me that he would "Hook Me Up" tells me today that to make it worth his while he'd At the Least have to charge me about $1500-2000 to borrow it for the weekend. (I can ship a car to Cali and Back for that much if not less.)

3. Everyplace that I call that rents out trailers is either A) Out of Trailers, B) Only allows One way travel, C) Can Not ensure me that I will have a trailer to rent at that drop off to take the car back as they have to "Have the Trailer checked out before every rental to make sure its in Tip Top Shape"

4. My Friend who was supposed to help me out and drive my ITR down was suprised by his Boss this week when they told him they needed him to Help with Catering and he can't get out of it (Works for Sodexho as a Supervisor and had the weekend off until this) Everyone else that could drive the car is either In school, has work, or has some other event this weekend.
.

So in the End I am calling every Trailer/Truck Rental place in New England, Planning on just bringing the Spoon ITR, pulling whatever hair is left out, Stressing out.


So anyone else having one of those weeks?

 

PS I'm still coming down, just venting about a stressfull week.
Oh and I was sick as hell all weekend and into Monday and tuesday

Ah, the many MANY frustrations of people who fall through when you need them. I've been going through that for about 3 weeks with my engine swap in my CRX. Hang in there, things will come together. If I could help, I definitely would, just out of knowing how fucked up and frustrating it is. I will say this much: you find out who your friends are when you do a motor swap. That's my experience though.

PS: Seems the only places in the area that rent Trailer are Uhaul and Penske, Penske seems to be out, Uhaul is checking for trailer availability as the 3 locals didn't have any. Called a friend of my fathers who does Oval Sprint Racing but his trailer is too small, only about 10feet

man, i've been stressing ever since my motor blew. it sucks trying to find ways to get to work and school. i haven't driven my itr in like 3 weeks, and it seems like there is always another setup every week i expect to get my motor back. oh well, it'll be a better car when i get the motor back. but i know that in the end, everything will work out. i know it should for you too.

Update:
So Uhaul is out, they allow 2 way travel no problem, but charge $.89 a Mile Roughly 1300 miles round trip equals out to about $1200 plus Rental and insurance fees.

Last minute suprises SUCK..

can you rent a truck/SUV from Avis or Hertz and then pick up a trailer from UHaaoo....will that be cheaper?

Well I put friend in quotations because its more of another business I deal with once in awhile, they made it sound like they were going to take care of me and then dropped a bomb the day i was to pick it up

Crappiest thing was the old stereo shop I worked for would have let me borrow their F450 and 2 car enclosed 5th wheel trailer (With the works, tools, awning etc.) for just $500 but they sold it 3 months ago to Toucan Industries for only $17K (I've seen stock setups like the above sell for 40K, this one had DVD, playstation, a bunch of mods to the truck etc. If only I had known they were selling it I would have bought it.)
