Default 2003 Si Steering Wheel

I posted this question on the appearance forum but got no love. I want to know if anyone knows if the steering wheel on the new Si would fit in a 99-00 Si. I want a new steering wheel but i also want to keep the airbag and the steering wheel on the new Si looks a lot better than the EK stocker.

I'm not totally sure about his, buy I don't think the steering column could just be swapped in. The new Si has electic power assist steering compared the EM1's hydrolic/pnumatic steering (or whatever you call it).

Ok let me clarify this for all you people!

Im 350z's... Buddy.

i have 00si and i have the 02si steering wheel.

The steering wheel WILL BOLT ON. The spline is the same!!! NO NEED to swap steering columns!

ONLY problem is the Airbag connectors are different!!!

The 02si has 4 wires
the 00si has 2 wires.

Im in the middle of trying to figure out the wiring so that i can use this wheel on my car. If not its for sale!

EDIT: The RSX one will BOLT on and PLUG in!

Reason being the 02si airbag has a dual stage inflator on the airbag.
The RSX one is like the USDM airbag and only has 2 wires on the plug so it will work!

i guess when you think about it, $680 for a SRS steering wheel is not that bad. when they first posted this wheel on the AJ site, i think they were asking between $900 to $1000 for it. it looks like they lowered the price because they have not been able to sell it.
i was hoping that the one from the usdm ep3 would be cheaper because is not jdm.

Had the same problem with the new Mugen suede wheel on my friends Rsx. Before we could figure that out he just left it and I don't think that the aibags are functional. I hope you can figure that out and post the info. I believe the other two wires were for side airbags?
