$65 dollars for a "new" intake arm is a pretty good deal. He said it was new and so I believed him. It was even packed well. From what I see from this is that it was used and all he did was remove the stickers and repainted it to look new. Maybe he can make something up like USPS damaged it or whatever but I'm not stupid. Fine $65 for an intake is an ok deal but he should've lied to me. I'm an honest seller here on honda-tech and I always let people know the flaws in detail. Should I be compensated or is it a good enough deal as it is?

She bought me my first mod which was an AEM intake and I thought it would've been nice to buy her first mod as an intake also. I got played for a sucka and I feel stupid. Does anyone think this is even worth the $65 shipped? SHould I be compensated? Mark please give me a good explanation for this!!

 

That sucks! Doesn't AEM coat the intake with some special crap to keep the hot air out? Will painting the intake affect it?

Thats the 4th one that I have seen that is a little bent like that. All the ones I have seen were brand new too. Before you call him a liar take the time to figure out what is really going on. Everything else in the package is brand new right? The AEM sticker still has the paper over it right? The ends of the tube don't have scuffs on them from being bolted up to a car right? Use a pair of pliers and a rag to bend the aluminum back. Its not hard to bend so be careful. $65 is a hell of a deal for a brand new AEM. Be lucky he doesn't go down there and stick it up your *** for being a slanderous bitch.

 

$65 isn't much, I'd bend the damn pipe ends as straight as possible and call it a day, after all the **** I've bought off the internet I'd just deal w/ it, you still got a good deal you know, even if you chip the paint bending it back out the rubber ends will cover the chipped parts when fully installed.

Bullshit. It looks like it got damaged in shipping to me.

If it were used it would have surface scratches and the stickers would not be new on the outside of the pipe.

I've known Mark for a while and I've seen some of the work he's done on cars in the area. I highly doubt he intentionally ripped you off. Either it got damaged in shipping, or was already like that and he didn't notice it. Instead of crying like a little baby on the web site and bad mouthing someone before you try to resolve it with him, try talking to him and getting it taken care of. What you're doing right now is libel.

Maybe I'm missing something. I don't see anything in the pictures that show it's used. Damaged yes, but you really have no way of knowing if that happened during shipment or not.

Slanderous bitch? Let me explain something to you. The ****** paint on the pipe is peeling off. There are scuff marks on parts of the pipe and the stickers are crooked with bubbles in them so you explain to me. How is this brand new? Seeeing your from CO you may just be his friend trying to defend him. The pipe is not new. I've had a new AEM intake before so you can take you comment and shove that up your *** ********.

BTW... the intake that I had on my car didnt have some foil looking out line on the sticker and it sure as hell didnt have any bubbles in the sticker. All I asked was, should I be compensated or is this good enough. You put yourself in my postition and I garantee that you will not be satisfied. It even had the peanut thingys so unless there was a 100+ pound box on top of it, I dont see how it would just get bent and the ends and not the whole pipe!

that aem looks new to me. during anytime during shipping that bend could have happened.

even though the box is full w/ peanuts, the end of the intake will either rest at the top or bottom of the box. things get stacked ontop of one another during shipping. things are tossed. things are moved by conveyeur belts and actuating arms. it's not that hard for that to bend.

i don't think anyone would go through the trouble of taking off the AEM sticker & carb stickers and then repaited to make it look new and sell it for $65 shipped. too much trouble for too little money.

for $65 shipped the seller could have advertised as used and someone else would have bought it.

my point is, talk with the seller and work things out.

(again, the thing looks new to me, the inside of the intake is too clean)

So why does the paint have scuff marks on it and why in some parts of it it seems darker in certain spots. The paint is also peeling off.
