Default ~3 psi on greddy 15 turbo kit ok?

I'm taking my car to an autox event next month, i dont have an intercooler, and my lag is pretty bad, id say laggy tilll 4k rpm...and the kit came as 6psi. I was wondering if it would be ok for the turbo/car if I lenghthened the actuator rod to run 3 psi? would it ruin anything like the wastegate/actuator or anything like that?

Oops, i just realized i put this in the autox/roadrace section...my bad, but any comments would be helpful

You will not be able to go any lower than the 5.5 psi that Greddy has set on there actuator.

6 psi will be fine without an intercooler. I ran my Civic like that for three months with no problems what-so-ever.

good luck,

aj

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

It's been a year and a half now.

It sucks.

If I don't sell it before summer, I am returning it back to stock and keeping some of the goodies for a later date.

aj, buy my CIVIC!!

what rpm did you get full boost at? cause mine seems kinda high, and will the lag slow me down?
Oh yeah, for autox, will this greatly decrease the life of the turbo?

Full boost at around 3000.

The lag won't be much of a factor anyway unless you have a LSD because it's gonna push like a plow anyway.

Autocross will not greatly decrease the life of the turbo. You probably run the car harder on the way to the event, then you do at the event.
