Calling all Civic owners with Wilwood big brakes....
I been running the 12.2" disc brake kit with the 4 piston caliper for a long time now. I am trying to find out which 16" rims can fit over this specific kit. I remember a while back a blue civic hatch having a set of rota on clearing the kit. I cannot remember the specific wheel. So if anyone knows of a 16" wheel that clears this kit, please do tell.
c8 and the slips in 16" i think, the 15" slips wont clear but the 15" spoon/regamasters will. at least these are the clearances for the fastbrakes kit which uses the same calipers, so i dont know for sure.
yes yes its the C8's. I remember now
. How many offsets do they come in at 16"? Anyone know where to get them cheap? I know for a fact that with the 12.2" brakes, only a 16" wheel or bigger will work. Thanks

If you are talking about the Wilwood kit that you can get from Wilwood directly or Summit, then I'm in the same dilemna as you.
I have 16 inch Advan's on the way but I was concerend with fitment and clearance.
The wheels I'm getting are coming with an offset of 45 offset (I believe that's it. The only other offset is 35). That plus the design of the wheel (The spokes curve outward from the centre of them rim to the edge of the rim itself.
It should clear................I hope.

Yea I have the one from summit. I have had it for over a year now. You will be very happy once u find a set of wheels that work right
THis is my third set of wheels. Before I had to use a spacer and it sucked. I know that TE37 fit with a low offset at 16". I see what your saying about the curve spoke, cause that is what caused me to use a spacer wiht my old rims.

So you are saying that the curved spoke will help clearance or hinder. The way the wheel looks, it looks like it would help.

Sorry for the vagueness. More than likely if the spokes curves inward, you will have serious problems. It either wont clear or will be extremely close. On my 17's the spokes curve in. The distance between the spoke and the caliper is about .5cm or less!
But I will still try to bolt up the wheel anyways. But more than likely if the spoke curves in, it will hinder the clearance.

Oh you miss understood me then.
My spokes curve outwards.
I didn't want to post a pic of the wheels until they were on the car but because I'm worried about brake clearance I don't care.

Are those 15's or 16's. They look like 15's.
The wheels I have in my above post are going to be in 16 inch. Looking @ the design of the wheel compared to you wheel I have to say that I'm prety confident that I should good enough clearance.

they are 16 but toyo dont have the right size for it, so i ran 205-55-16 during the club battle. thats why it looks like 15's.
i heard wilwood will have a brake kit which will fit 15's, anyone have info about that?(the brake i got from wilwood for that car suppose to fit 15's but i think its not out yet)

Just buy the fastbrakes kit.
Anyways, 16" Blitz 01`s would be fine w/ your current setup.

Looking @ your wheel I can see where the spokes go back toward the rim and meet in closer to the outside of the rim (For lack of a better description).
You said you had to shave a little of the caliper off. I'd like to avoid doing this (not like it matters because the wheels have been order'd and I have the brakes already).
But comparing the design of your N1 pro's and my advan's it looks like I might be a little lucky. What do you think??
I didn't even ask you what offset you had??

Ryan I would've bought the fast brakes kit but the guy @ summit gave me a great deal. And since I had no plans on going back to a 15 inch wheel I figured I jump on it (I got my Wilwoods for less then 600 bux).
On thing that sux is I have to get a spare set of 16's for just in case situations.....but I was planning on doing that anyway so.......

Apexi ITR, I think you'll be fine. I know for a fact the SSR comps in 16's clear, and my buddy is running 16" Racing Sparco's with the Wilwood's, and he has no problems either. I think you will be set with the Advan's. Hopefully the Wilwood's will clear the C2's, because the last two kits I bought didn't fit.

No shaving of the caliper I take it.
Also I can't remember but would +45 offset give it more clearance.
