Swapping suspension could be tiring. :P
Well, I just got the rears done for today and I'm exhausted. Took me 2hrs to swap them out.
This is my first time by the way. I may do the fronts later, but I'm tired, so maybe tomorrow since I have to swap out the control arms too. Whew...good learning experience.

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm doing the '96 Spec Type R 4 x 114.3 on my EG right now. I'm going slow because I don't have a license and Steve at passwordjdm.com sent me the wrong rears-- the rears he sent me were 4 x 100's, and I bought some 16" ADVAN RG's that are 4 x 114.3, so the 4 x 100 obviously won't work.
Just the rear shock and spring isn't too bad (except for the always-stuck Rear LCA bolt). When you do the hubs, you have to do the e brake cables as well which begins to make things interesting. You have to drop the exhaust and the rear-most heat sheild to get them out (mostly for the RR). So count your blessings I guess? I dunno. You don't need to take apart the ball joint to do the front shock & spring, just undo the bolt that pinches the fork onto the base of the shock and work the fork around until it comes out.

Air tools comes in handy for that rear LCA bolt.
Oh yeah, I know that I don't need to remove the balljoint to replace the spring and shock, but in my case...I have to remove it because I'm installing the Skunk2 Camber Kit.

I guess I am one of the lucky one because I did my suspension in about 30 min. for front and rear. No prob w/ the rear lower control arm. Camber kit was simple too.

Thats not entirely true...but you will probably need new bushings.

i got the bushing....i went to have it replaced, and they said that it would be easier to replace the entire lca, because their press was starting to bend the lca

What? Thats messed up, how were they trying to press it out? I got mine done, it was no problem, I don't even see how it would have been possible to bend it? Wierd.
