Default So my trailing arm is F**KED

yeh, well we just pulled the A6 out of the 90 CRX Si in my garage about a couple of hours ago. We were lookin at the passenger side rear trailing arm - and my mechanic friends said it's fucked. I'm pissed. What should i do? I don't know anywhere that i could get ahold of a rear trailing arm for a 90-91 CRX Si. Am i going to have to get the rear trailing arms for the 90-93 integra and the hubs and ****? i dont really wanna do that because i'm tight on funds, and my driver's side rear trailing arm is fine. What should i do? anyone have a rear trailing arm for sale?

Yes you can. Simply pull off the drum assembly and bolt on the disc assembly. 89-91 are the same.

So, I can take the passenger side rear trailing arm from my 89 CRX Si, and put it on my 90 CRX Si. Then take the 90 CRX Si brake components and put it on the 89 trailing arm? just to clarify

the honda part #s are diff. between 90 crx si trailing arm and 89 crx si. i dont see how that would work. everyone w/ a 88-89 crx si would just buy the rear disk stuff off of a 90-91 crx si, and never buy the trailing arms. im so confused

Hmmm. Different P/N's eh... well that's probably just because the 90-91 were rear disc. I'm 99.9 percent sur ethat your stuff will bolt onto an 89 lower control arm.

Yes they will bolt onto it and yes the reason the part number is different is because one is drum and one is disc. And the reason people buy the complete trailing arm and everything is because first thats how most people sell it and second its much easier to just bolt the whole arm on then trying to swap over all of the disc componets. But if your tight on funds this would be the cheapest way considering it would cost you anything unless you get some new screws for it. Oh and so why did the mechanic say the trailing arm is f*ucked? Are you sure he wasnt just talking about the trailing arm bushing??
