Today I was pulling out of a gas station. I pulled out onto the road a little too far, and started to back up, cuz a car was coming. In teh rear view I see nothing, start backing up slowly, and BAM, I look into the rear view and see an Isuzu rodeo bumper. The impact was small, even though I was hit in the rear, its still gonna come back as my fault prolly and my insurance deductible is $500, cant afford it right now, so my question..

How much would a body shop charge to fix a small dent in the lower part of my hatch. Where the DX symbol would be? Could I try and pull this dent myself? Its got very little paint damage, is about 3 inches wide, two inches tall. Would a ding king or something like that work on a dent this size? Thanks all.

 

some shops do paintless dent removers that usually run about 25 and up per dent.

Well if u get it fixed its going to cost u about $500 because of the price of paint and labor these days, if u don't mind the scratches get a paintless dent remover to massage it out for 60-100 bucks. If you go that route just get the ole buffer out and fix the scratches and then u got no problem and only spending 100 bucks compared to $500+

 

So, I can get the dent pulled cheap, and then touch it up, and save some loot probably, eh? I can always buy some touch up and get it, the paint is really no biggy at all, its real small.

 

It really just depends. There was no cop at the scene, so Im not sure who will be at fault yet. Theyll say I backed into them, I said that they were moving and hit me, cuz I only backed up a foot or so, and they shouldnt have been that close.. and I know they were moving when it happened.. I dunno. If I gotta pay the deductible Ill do it as cheap as possible for now. If they were at fualt, their insurance will pay for all of it and everything will be alright cuz Ill have it done and repainted professionally
