Default when I slam on the gas, it hesitates

I've been messing with my TPS alot lately.. finally got rid of my code 7 and check engine light. I started up the car and was excited about the CEL being off. I try to rev it and it sits there for a second and then it finally revs, this only happens at WOT. When I rev gradaually I dont get this problem.

check the butterfly in the TB, see if it's sticking... if it is spray some throttle body cleaner stuff in there

is it happening when your car is at a dead stop or just when your cruising or both?

What the gasket? My ZC came with one and my a6 had one. Unfortunately I peeled them both off out of stupidity.. live and learn. But could that be a problem?

TPS gasket or throttle body gasket, I'm pretty sure the TB gasket could cause it.

hmm it looks like the side of the throttle body, it goes where the throttle body connects to the intake manifold.

I just went and looked at my a6 and yea the gasket is there, its just so melted on that I thought it was just part of the intake mani. Im guessing the ZC is the same way cuz I dont ever remember anything coming off the intake mani and theres no gasket laying on my garage floor.

I think the only way Im gonna solve this problem is by ******* with the tps and/or random things on the intake mani.. I'll post it up if I ever find whats wrong.

So it was some loose vacuum lines or something that cuased the hesitation? I drove the car to school this morning and let it warm up for the first time since I got rid of that code 7, it idled at around 150rpm, I was surprised it didnt die.

Does this still sound like a vacuum problem? Idling EXTREMELY low and lagging when at WOT..?

Yea check the vaccuum lines they can play a big role in the idle of the car especially when there is a leak or maybe you didn't hook up your vac for you MAP Sensor. Just double check and make sure that nothing was overlooked. ;]

Ok I checked all the vacuum lines, one wasnt plugged up so I plugged it up witha screw. It didnt fix anything though. I started the car and then went and took out the TPS and that fixed the problem though I got the CEL again. With the car running and TPS out, it didnt bog/hesitate at all when I would rev. Could my tps still be out of alignment even tho Im not getting any codes? Could one of the wires that go to the TPS be messed up?

Also yesterday when I was actually trying to align the TPS the proper way, I'd get 5v between the yel/wht and grn/wht wires which is good. Then I tried to test between the yel/wht and body ground and I still got 5v and it didnt change when I moved the butterly back and forth. I thought those were the two leads to test when looking for the .5v @ idle and 4.5v @ WOT. Am I wrong?

But I dont get this problem when the TPS isnt plugged in, so do the vacuum lines magically fix themselves when they sense the TPS disconnected?

He emailed me telling me to switch around the tps wires.. well even though my car is mpfi already I figured what the hell, cuz I had messed with them before and switched them around before (multiple times). Well I did it and it revs smooth now, no hesitation.. Thanks again man.
