oil coming from valve cover breather
as you can see from the topic does anyone else have this problem? and if so how can it be fixed? and if noone else has this problem anyone know why i would?
thanks
thanks
the honda PCV system was not designed for a breather to be used. you should connect a line straight from your valvecover to your intake tube, for a proper setup.
All i did was run a 1' foot hose from the valvecover to the bottom so that it would expel any gases or oil away from my engine bay. Connecting it straight to your intake tube would cause the oil from the valvecover to get into the intake manifold. I know that honda designed it like that.... but i have notice that the inside of your intake manifold stays cleaner if you don't.
i know that is coming out of it and i dont want to run it back thru the intake already done that had oil every where
where can i get an oil catch and what exactally does it do?
thanks

You can get catch cans from quite a few places. http://www.aj-racing.com http://www.passwordjdm.com http://www.jdmspecperf.com and http://www.ipsracing.com .
The reason for a simple catch can is to collect the oil blow by from the crankcase. It helps to keep the intake system clean by not routing back to your intake. There are more technical issues as well but more complicated catch cans are neccessary.
