Calling all A/C techs
so i've got an 89 civic with B-series swap using a HASport bracket for my A/C.
my problem i'm having is that when i try to switch on the A/C system the light on my A/C switch comes on but the compressor does not engage. i have been troubleshooting using a Helms manual but i am still struggling.
things i've tried or info that i know
-the psi on the low pressure side is usually around 60 so that doesnt seem to be my problem.
-the Yellow wire from the clutch relay DOES show continuity at the ECU
-all wires at the clutch relay show the appropriate readings with a DVOM (but i am unsure exactly what the Yellow wire should show)
-even when i jump the pressure switch, the clutch will not engage
-grounding the Yellow wire at the clutch relay DOES engage the clutch but according to the service manual the only thing for me to do is to replace my ECU (i do not have easy access to another ECU for testing)
-i KNOW the relays and fuses are all good
does anyone have any ideas? i'm going to try testing the A/C switch and thermostat switch when i can, but has anyone else had this problem or something similar??
