Default Stripped Lug Nut safe to drive?

OK I've had my car for years, never had this problem, apparently when NTB was rotating the tires they cross threaded a lug and it's totally messed up, they are going to "look" at it tomorrow. ANyhow is it really bad to drive with just 3 lug nuts at this point? I'm planning on taking off the wheel lock and using a regular nut in it's place. I called my local Honda dealer to see how much to do the stud, and they said it's like 100 bucks for the labor so I think I'm just going to turn this into replacing the rotors, since they will have to get a hub off anyhow... I have 262,000 miles on the original rotors so I guess they could use being changed.

I drove around on 3 lugs for a couple months.

I had no problems but I had to finally fix it because a shop cross-threaded another lug on the same wheel. I wasn't about to go around with only two. Why is it always shops that cross thread them?

OK got a price of 450.00 from Honda to do the rotors, and the stud, that doesn't sound too bad does it? I figure rather them beat off the hub than me. Plus they have a press to get it back together again...

driving on 3 lugs is fine. my friend drove on them for months... but i recommend to change is as soon as possible, you gotta change it sooner or later right? but in the meantime, it should be fine.

Interesting enough, the wobble when braking at high speeds seems to coincide with when the lug was stripped... So mabye having just 3 lugs tight and one not allowed the rotor to warp? Well it's in the hands of Honda now. It's been 2 years since she's been in the shop!
