You might wanna ask some of the NC-We-Todds.. Actually, I think they were using Toda ITBs for there recent project. You can also try SGT and CHEETAH on this board..

LIP aka Jeff, had TWM's
Cheetah has Toda ITB's
I don't think Steve has ITB's yet.
The Crazy NC'er with the Blue SI has Toda ITB's

I know there are a bunch more on the board with ITB's, just can't remember everyones name.

I don't know much about these ITB's.. mostly because I cannot afford them.

But is there anyway you can use some kind of filtering element with them for street use?

You could probably do it with a chipped ECU but you would probably need some sort of vaccum canister to put the MAP sensor to make the ECU happy.

imo,TWM is rather low quality.
Toda are okay, too small for 2L engine, most other jdm brands fall into this problems as well

I these are made in the UK by a Company called Jenvey, they claimed that all the British Touring Cars are using the're TBs. These guys are serveral miles away from where I work.

I;ve spoke to someone there a while back and they said Mugen took a few of these back to Japan with them to test on a ITR, this was what they were claiming. He said the data came from Mugen themselves. I think it's power from the crank though not to the wheels. They said it'll be about £800 for the 4 TBs but I found out that it'll cost another £1000 or so to get another ecu, injectors, harnesses, a wheel attatched to the crank with a missing tooth, and for someone to tune this on a rolling road

Standard ITR with Mugen ECU - 207HP
ITR with ECU + Mugen Exhuast - 212hp
ITR with ECU +Exhaust +Spoon Cams - 247 hp

ITBs would need high compression and hella aggressive cams to see results... therefore.. not good for the street... it also needs some massive tuning.. i wouldent recommend it on a street car... unless ur planning on using race gas and building a race car for the track..

I don't think it was worth £1800 anyways, I can get a turbo kit with that with money left for pistons.

steve brings up a good point. i have seen some 2L putting down 240+whp including steves with just the stock manifold and some port work done. as far as not being streetable, they are. i know a few people running them with 12-12.5:1 compression and they have no problems
