Default OIl pressure

OK on a Honda cbr F3 600, how can i measure if i have oil pressure? What can i measure it with, can i borrow one from an autoparts store? ----Reason my oil light came on, and i checked oil level good , frove another 1/2 mile and temp began to rise very quickly , i shut it off before it got to RED .. where do i start on diagnosing my problem??? I recently changed the oil <correct Honda OEM filter and oil> ??

John,

Since you recently changed the oil filter, there may be a filter clog or stopage that is reducing the oil pressure. I also recomend you go back to the Honda place that sold you the oil and filter and ask them about your problem.

Find the oil pressure switch which is used to operate the idiot light. You will need to remove the switch find a tap and connect the oil pressure gauge to that hole. You can then measure the pressure.
