Where to get RSX type S heads?
any k-series motor is in an i4 configuration so it has only a single head. if you are referring to a header (exhaust manifold) then go to any web site that sells performance parts for imports.
Junkyards for complete heads, Acura dealerships for parts to assemble your own head.
They're definitely not cheap, and they will be hard to find since the RSX-S is relatively new.

You can order the complete head. I suggest calling 1-800-CARLAND. Ask for Mike, Internet Parts orders. I bought a bare head from him, it was the only one in the country last month.

When I said "complete," I meant including all internals and fully assembled.
I don't believe you can order a "complete" head from Acura, can you? You have to order all of the parts separately and then assemble it yourself.

I know. And yes, you can. See the first graphic? That's a complete head assembly, it was offered to me when I purchased my bare head. The parts guy wanted to make sure I was ordering the correct part. So, I reiterated to him that I only needed a bare head. If you're in doubt call up Mike at Carland - he'll quote you the cost of a complete brand new cylinder head.

whoa, expect it to be butt expensive buying that part new from a delaer. you still have to buy the intake manifold, fuel rail, throttle body, sensors, harness, etc... better just to buy a whole rsx-s or dc5-r swap and then just not use the bottom end if you have a k24 block.
Well what I plan on doing is I just bought a new 2003 CRV for my wife
It has the k24 engine so I want to do the head swap off the RSX type s engine. Get a little more kick out of the engine possible get new pistons for higher compression and the jackson charger when it comes out. Just hope the transmission can handle it with the real-time all-wheel drive, but he head swap is first on the list.

PM "len" on this board. He was selling a complete head brand new from acura for $1000. Also, PM "b18cxr" he's doing this combo right now, as we speak probably.
aww man I wish I didnt miss registration for expo. I want to see the torque machine si. You gotta post up videos of that beast once it's broken in. What kind of engine management?
