my friend blew his gsr a while back victum of a cai. he got his new engine in and everything looks good he is getting gas but we have no spark from the wires and we tried different wires but still no spark his distributor is good and the rotor inside the distrib. was turning I think it could be the coil or a ground does n e one know about the ground from the valve cover to the frame does that ground out everything throughout the head. the battery is new and the ground to the alternator and tranny are there. I just think we got happy and overlooked a step and left out that ground.

I had that problem too, when I finished installing my motor. I checked everything distributor and the sparkplugs. Then I noticed that one of my ground wires wasn't hooked up. It was the one that bolted on my starter motor (or near it). Then after I hooked it up I had spark. Check all your ground wires. One ground wire that isn't hooked up can really make a difference.
